PROF. JOSEPH NZIOKI ADVOCATES FULLY FUNDED EDUCATION IN VISION FOR MASINGA 2027.
Prof. Joseph Nzioki, a respected academic and Masinga native, has outlined his bold vision for education reform in Kenya. Speaking during a radio interview on a Kamba vernacular station, Nzioki emphasized that the dream of free education can only be realized if all education-related funds—including those from MPs, Woman Representatives, Governors, MCAs, and the Ministry of Education—are pooled together to fully fund the sector.
"Education must be used to bridge the gap between the haves and the have-nots," said Prof. Nzioki. He also called for elected leaders to stick to their constitutional mandates of representation, legislation, and oversight—rather than engaging in bursary disbursement.
As he eyes the Masinga MP seat in 2027, Prof. Nzioki promises to champion structural reforms that prioritize education as the key driver of socio-economic transformation.
He concluded the interview by noting that poverty and wealth disparities can be addressed if Kenya focuses on improving education and working towards achieving a dollar-a-day economy.
Masinga Constituency now looks forward with hope to the leadership vision offered by Prof. Joseph Nzioki.
